As member states for prepare for the final round of pandemic agreement negotiations next week, Action for Animal Health has appealed to parties to keep language on prevention at source and One Health.
The coalition also calls upon governments to pledge to the World Bank Pandemic Fund, to support lower income countries to meet the obligations in the agreement.

Animal health systems are critical to the prevention of disease, the early detection of pathogens, reporting, control, and prevention of spread. But many remain under resourced, putting people and animals at risk of the impact of diseases with pandemic potential as well as anti-microbial resistance.
